Calories In. Calories Out.

I loved this article from Runner's World today.  It was so simple.  In order to lose weight, look great and stay trim you need to burn more calories than you intake.  Done.  No gimmicky pills, no funky diets, no quick answers.  It's called hard work and eating right.  I love it.

I'm going for a run.

  3. k, i have to get on a soap box about this to people that i think will understand me. does it ever offend you when you're in a group of women and something about weight comes up and someone says to you something like, "well, not as if you have anything to worry about."

for some reason that just makes me so upset. so, are you saying that just because i'm in shape i never have to worry about it? are you kidding me? i "worry" about it every day by running or lifting or doing yoga or refraining from eating ice cream every day, etc!!!

just like you said, staying trim takes hard work and i hate it when people blow it off like it's just easy for me because i happen to look cute in skinny jeans!!! grr...

anyway, after having said that, let it be known that i just ate two bowls of cereal in the middle of the day for no reason at all...so yeah, i need to get back on track, too!

  4. ha! jamie, i love it. and i agree. i always feel awkward joining into "diet" conversations with people who are trying to lose weight, because they look at me like "uh, yeah, what would you know about it?" i think people think you fall into one of two categories: naturally thin or trying to lose weight. how about 'not naturally thin but exercises and eats right in order to be thin'? Ha!
