I jump started 30 days with no sugar in September. I am already struggling and would love some advice/ideas on things to eat to curb the cravings. Thanks in advance!
This is going to seem weird -- but don't do wheat or flour either (or artificial sweeteners). I haven't done sugar or any form of sweetener, wheat or flour since October '07, and while I can't say I never want something I can't have, I don't have any physiological cravings. And that makes the (now milder) psychological ones easier to withstand. (Also, be careful, you might be getting hidden sugar, which is going to keep you craving the sweet stuff.) It seems much harder than it is.
For me the key was to set myself up for success by ridding my house of all sugar and having good alternatives like fruit or greek yogurt. Drink lots of water, have sugar free gum around. You can do it!
Lots of fruit. No sugar added applesauce. When I went off junk food, those saved me.
